What To Expect
First Visit
Your first appointment begins with a brief conversation so we can understand your symptoms, history and goals. You'll be seated in a comfortable, medical-grade treatment chair designed to support your body throughout the session. From there, we create a treatment plan tailored specifically to you. Each session typically runs for about 28 minutes, and most people benefit from a series of around six sessions, usually scheduled twice a week.
Regular Visit
Once we have established your individual treatment plan, you will begin to receive treatments twice a week for approximately 3 – 4 weeks for optimal results. With each visit allowing you to move one step closer to achieving your goals and improving your health symptoms. Then maintenance sessions, however this can vary depending upon your health goals. Please allow 30 minutes per visit.
What does the procedure feel like? Is it painful?
You will experience tingling and pelvic floor muscle contractions during the procedure. You may resume daily activities immediately after the treatment. There is no down-time using Emsella.

How fast will I see results?
Pre-Treatment
- Clothing: Please wear light, loose, and comfortable clothing to your appointment. While no clothing needs to be removed, appropriate attire ensures correct positioning on the chair and enhances the effectiveness of the treatment.
- Medical History: We will review your medical history to identify any contraindications. It’s important to ensure you do not have any health conditions or metal implants that may prevent you from receiving the treatment.
- Electronic Devices and Metal Objects: Prior to treatment, please remove all metal items and electronic devices, including credit cards, smartwatches, coins, and similar objects.
Post-Treatment
- Regular Maintenance: To maintain optimal results, regular maintenance treatments are recommended as part of your ongoing care plan.
- Return to Normal Activities: There is no downtime required following treatment—you may resume your usual daily activities immediately.
Contraindications
You may not be a suitable candidate if:
- You have metal implants (such as a hip replacement, uterine devices, heart, back)
- You have a pacemaker
- You have a history of heart problems
- You are pregnant or menstruation
- Fevers
- Epilepsy
- TBT slings - require clearance from your surgeon
